Patricia Dunn-Walker

I live in Rochester, Minnesota with my family and am originally from Illinois where I received my BFA in graphic design. After college I moved to Minnesota to pursue a career in design. I worked in the graphic design field for a number of years during which time I took a year-long break to teach English in Japan. After working in design for ten years I switched my focus to fine art.

Working as an artist helps me organize my world. I love many aspects of design including type and photos and use these elements in my work. I am inspired

by the textural variety of collage.

My work ranges between abstract and a more representational focus. After spending time working in the abstract world I want to once again study representational subjects more closely. I am working on merging natural and “man” made elements in my work to create a harmony between the two.
